Hubbard Electric Department
The Hubbard Electric Department duties include calls for service interruption, responding to outages, maintenance of substations, and the power distribution system, street lighting and traffic signals. Currently, the department is replacing sodium vapor streetlights with LED lighting, which offers less maintenance as well as increased power efficiency.
Our municipal electric system invests in power plants and other generation assets to control costs and insulate customers from price fluctuations associated with energy and capacity markets. We receive power generated from natural gas, coal and hydroelectric.
