Tornado Siren Test

NOTICE

2021 TORNADO SIREN TEST/TORNADO DRILL WEDNESDAY, MARCH 24, 2021 at 9:50 A.M.

As part of Ohio’s Severe Weather Awareness Week, the State of Ohio will conduct a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 9:50 am. Ohio communities will test their outdoor warning sirens and Emergency Alert System broadcast procedures during the drill.

The National Weather Service and The Ohio Emergency Management Agency encourages everyone to abide by health and safety guidelines, including social distancing and wearing a mask per local directives.  If that is not possible during the tornado test, then consider participating by simply sheltering-in-place or discussing sheltering options/plans among co-workers/family members.  Every school, citizen, and business is encouraged to participate in the drill.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Trumbull County EMA Office @ 330-675-2666.

We’re In This Together

Just a few friendly reminders during this difficult and trying time.  When going out, whether for fresh air, exercise, work or to the stores, we all need to remember this is a hard time for all of us.

All stores and their employees have been working extra hard during the pandemic to get items on the shelves and assist customers with what they need.  Yes, there are long lines.  Yes,  they are out of items you want.  They understand your frustrations but they are individuals who are just a small piece in a very big puzzle and are trying to deliver the best service they can.

The limits placed on items is a good thing.  This allows everyone a chance to purchase what they need and helps the owners have a better chance on restocking.

Please stay home if you are sick.  Please respect physical distancing.  During this time, continue to look after each other, especially neighbors and family that are elderly.

Showing respect goes a long way.   Be patient, be kind, and be mindful.  We Are All In This Together and together we will get through this.
