Myron Street Sidewalks Installation Project

The City of Hubbard proposes to install approximately 1,000-feet of new sidewalk on the south side of Myron Street between Main Street (US 62) to in proximity of Stewart Street. New ADA-compliant curb ramps will also be installed at the crossings of Stewart Street and Simler Street, the Eagle Creek Citizen Center, and the southwest quadrant of the Myron Street/State Route 7 intersection.
Construction is scheduled to begin in Summer 2022 and will be completed in Fall 2022. Total project construction cost is $178,100. During project construction, a minimum of one lane of traffic shall be maintained on Myron Street at all times during active working hours utilizing flaggers. During active working hours, both lanes of Myron Street shall re-open to traffic. Access shall be maintained to all adjacent properties, residences, businesses and intersecting side streets for the duration of the project. Construction and lane restriction/reduction information will be posted within the project construction limits prior to the start of project construction. Substantial traffic disruptions are not expected with the project.
To ensure the decision-making process is comprehensive, the City of Hubbard is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental and economic impacts of this proposed project. Environmental impacts include those involving archeological, architectural and ecological resources, regulated materials and the general location of the project. The City of Hubbard also requests information regarding the presence of any known cultural resources in the vicinity of the project including prehistoric and historic archaeological sites, historic bridges, historic buildings, landmarks and districts.
